My name is Ethan and I’m the founder of Sky Senderos. The idea for this company came to me a few years back when I was at my girlfriend’s family’s ranch during a helicopter survey. Seeing that process play out, I knew there had to be a better way to conduct game counts on Texas properties. After a few years of research and experimenting with different drones, we performed our first commercial survey in January 2023. Since then, it’s been a wild ride as what was once an excuse for me to see new parts of this incredible state (and make some extra spending money in my last semester of college) has transformed into the company that Sky Senderos is today.
I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who has supported Sky Senderos and allowed us to achieve our goal of helping landowners across Texas collect more accurate, actionable data about their land and wildlife. While we’ve realized that goal for over 200 landowners across Texas, the little moments during surveys are still the most rewarding part. Whether it’s finding the 10-point that all the lease members thought had died, or confirming a landowner’s suspicion that previous helicopter counts were severely underestimating their wildlife population, the positive effect of each survey for our clients motivates me to keep growing this company.

Since our inception, we have put together a talented team of pilots that have a passion for hunting and land management. With a team of 20 pilots flying for us, no property or job is too big, as we can send up to 5 pilots to tackle large acreage ranches. From diligent pre-flight planning, to a thorough, efficient, and interactive survey, our pilots strive to provide our clients with exceptional service.
Our pilots all possess their Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 107 Commercial Drone Operator’s license. In order to obtain this certification, they must complete a rigorous course which culminates in a knowledge test that encapsulates multiple aspects of safely operating drones. Additionally, they are all licensed under the Texas Parks and Wildlife’s (TPWD) Aerial Wildlife Management Permit.
The Sky Senderos pilots are not only experts when it comes to flying drones, but also in identifying wildlife. Our pilots have grown up hunting on Texas ranches and between their personal experience and having flown countless hours of surveys, they are able to identify any animal, have worked with countless landowners, and are diligent to provide a thorough service from start to finish.
